Saint Paul’s Family Retreat, organised by SPOYS, was held last weekend at Bribie Island Retreat and Recreation Centre.
Themed “In Spirit and Truth: Understanding and living our Orthodox Faith”, the retreat offered a fulfilling experience for participants of all ages.
Throughout the event, Church services were held at the Panagia Theotokos Church, and clergy speakers, including Father James Savage, Father Jean Mawal, and Deacon Athanasios Savage, delivered insightful talks tailored to different age groups, deepening their understanding of the Orthodox faith.
Deacon Athanasios led chanting sessions, and Father Jean took the children on an engaging tour of the Church. Games, activities, and a Q&A session further enriched the experience. Additionally, a bonfire was held, fostering fellowship and a strong sense of community.
The family retreat proved to be a remarkable opportunity for participants to strengthen their faith and grow closer to God. Thank you to everyone who helped plan the retreat and who assisted across the weekend.
