All Antiochian Orthodox Parishes run Church school each Sunday. The children who attended the Church school classes are organised into age-based groups and engage in a variety of spiritual and educational activities and events. The classes are held in the Parish Hall of each church. The activities include themes of the Old Testament and the life of Christ in the scriptures, as well as living and experiencing Feast days and the life of the saints. The mode of teaching includes discussions, group work and sharing understanding through open forums as well as hands-on craft, art and role-playing. Each parish holds their own plays and concerts as well as fun days and day retreats for spiritual nourishment. A large aspect of Church school is the importance of the children attending the Divine Liturgy in English, this is vital for developing the understanding of the importance of living the sacramental life.
