On Friday, 27 September 2019 the Antiochian Orthodox Archdiocese (AOA) held an information session on Community Support Program (CSP) delivered by Carmen Lazar from Assyrian Resource Centre (ARC) at Mount Pritchard’s hall as part of Settlement Engagement and Transition Support (SETS) project. The information session aimed to inform our newly arrived clients about CSP and to improve their capacity building. The CSP is a program that makes it possible for people and businesses in Australia to support a person in humanitarian need to come to Australia and assist them in their settlement journey. The CSP replaces the Community Proposal Pilot, a national trial which ran from 2013-2017. More than 35 people attended this session. Carmen explained CSP, what are the criteria and what are the fees to bring eligible person.

AOA through SETS project will continue meeting with people and organises more activity and courses . AOA will work closely with the consortium to achieve all aims and objectives of the SETS project.

SETS project funded by Department of Social Services through the Assyrian Australian Association.
