A unique and beautiful journey through the lift of Saint Joseph of Damascus
He was born on May 15, 1793, and was named Joseph.
St. Joseph’s father grew up in Beirut before moving to Damascus, where Joseph grew up with his parents and two brothers- he loved studying, especially the Holy Scriptures.
He was ordained a priest, where he served in Damascus both serving the faithful and as the director of the Asseya school- one who educated many well-known and loved priests, bishops, patriarchs and saints, including St. Raphael of Brooklyn.
He was martyred in 1860 in Damascus while protecting a precious gift he was sharing with many people.
