On Friday the 31st of July, His Eminence Metropolitan Basilios presided over the Akathist service for St Raphael of Brooklyn at Saint Mary’s Mount Pritchard.
The service was held on the anniversary of the translation of the Saint’s relics to Australia, after being brought to Australia 2 years ago by our chief shepherd. The faithful each received a small book with the Akathist for Saint Raphael from His Eminence, who encouraged them to pray the Akathist at home, entreating the intercessions of the Saint.
