Re: Inter-Orthodox Vespers on Sunday of Orthodoxy

On the Sunday of Orthodoxy every year, the Episcopal Assembly of Oceania organizes an

Inter-Orthodox Vespers Service, during which all Orthodox Christians of Sydney and District

are given the opportunity to pray together and jointly declare their Orthodox faith with a

Procession of Icons, in memory of their historical restoration in our Orthodox Church.

The Inter-Orthodox Vespers of Orthodoxy will be held on Sunday 13st March 2022, 7.00 pm

at the Church of St. Nicholas, 203 Livingston Rd, Marrickville. There Graces will

officiate, assisted by the Priests of all Orthodox jurisdictions and of course with the

participation of all our Clergy in Sydney.

Towards the end of Vespers, a Procession of the holy Icons will take place around the

Church, after which an excerpt from the Synodikon of the 7th Ecumenical Council will be read

in various languages.

All faithful are therefore warmly invited to participate in this great celebration of Orthodoxy.
