Parent and Teacher Day Retreat

“Education, Fellowship and Renewal”

Under the patronage of His Eminence Metropolitan Basilios, the archdiocese will be hosting a Parent and Teacher Day Retreat: Education, Fellowship and Renewal.

When: Saturday, 17 November (Register by the 3 November)
Where: Parish of St Mary’s Nativity (139 Burnett St, Mays Hill)
Cost: $10
Childminding will be available on the day

All parents and Church School teachers are encouraged to attend and partake in this day of learning and spiritual nourishment. The Antiochian Archdiocese will host speakers to discuss the upbringing and education of our church children. Talks will cover topics including:

• The direction of Spiritual Life according to the Prophet Isaiah (Rev. Fr. Dr. John El Karaan)
• A lifetime of Church school teaching and inspiration (Sub Deacon Michel Nahas & Mrs. Mary Jamhour)
• Raising Orthodox children (Fr. Dn. John Daher)
• Living Orthodoxy (History and Basics of the Orthodox faith) (Mr. Wissam Abwi)
