A black ribbon, symbolising remembrance and mourning, is projected on the Sydney Opera House sails on February 9, 2023, to show solidarity with Turkey and Syria following the deadly earthquakes.
NSW Premier Dominic Perrottet said NSW was giving $1 million to UNICEF, and Fire and Rescue NSW has sent emergency workers.
Perrottet sent his “deepest sympathy to those with family and friends affected by this terrible tragedy”.
