Clergy Child Safety Training

On Wednesday the 2^nd of December 2020 with the blessing and guidance of His Eminence Metropolitan Basilios, a Child Safety Seminar was held for the clergy of our Archdiocese in NSW.

The course, which is run by the Association of Children’s Welfare Agencies and Centre for Community Welfare Training, covered the topic of “Identify and Respond to Children and Young People at Risk” which included areas such as a duty of care, working with children checks, the role of the religious minister, mandatory reporting and a survey of the various Government based child safe policies, processors and standards.
