On 18th February 2023, the Saturday of the departed, H.E. Metropolitan Basilios, the Rev. clergy and faithful from different Churches across our Archdiocese in Sydney visited the newly built Antiochian Orthodox Chapel “The Holy Resurrection” and prayed the Trisagion service for the rest of souls of all beloved departed ones from our Antiochian Orthodox community on the section it is allocated for the Antiochian Orthodox community in Rockwood Cemetery, NSW. May their memory be eternal!
Rookwood General Cemetery works very hard to prepare the allocated lawn and monumental burial ground as a dignified resting place for the Antiochian Orthodox community and it will be ready soon.
A blessing service of The Holy Resurrection Chapel was conducted by His Eminence Metropolitan Basilios on Saturday 03 September 2022.
