An amazing weekend for an amazing retreat! In commemoration of ‘All Saints’ Feast Day (Sunday 19th June) the youth of St Nicholas Punchbowl spent a spiritually enriching weekend at the Antiochian Village in Goulburn, learning about the superheroes and champions of our Orthodox Faith.
The weekend kicked off with an Amazing Race competition (which truly was amazing!) sending teams scurrying around the Village looking for clues, solving problems and working together patiently to reach the finish line (Do you know how many crosses appear in the iconography on the walls of St Anna’s chapel?)
The youth were highly engaged with the two amazing talks given by Deacon Theophan Nahas and George Daher on what it means to be a Saint, the different classifications of Saints and how we ourselves can work towards a holy life in Christ.
The weekend was also filled with many beautiful prayer services, rotating workshops, games, campfire gatherings and more!
The St Nicholas Youth would like to thank His Eminence and the managers of the Antiochian Village for allowing them to use their facilities and also Fr Lawrence for his love and hospitality.
