On the Sunday of Orthodoxy, H.E Metropolitan Basilios presided over the service of the vespers of Sunday of Orthodox in St Nicholas Church, Punchbowl.
Our chief shepherded with the clergy and the faithful of our Archdioceses to celebrate the triumph of Orthodoxy and the restoration of the Holy Icons through the procession of the Holy icons and by reading the synodikon and the Statement of Faith.
During the service, the Very Rev. Fr Epharm Abbasi has elevated to the rank of Archimandrite. He is Axios, moustahik.
