On the weekend, 14-15 December, and with the blessing of His Eminence Metropolitan Basilios of Australia, New Zealand and the Philippines, the Welfare Committee of Saint Mary’s Antiochian Orthodox Church of the Dormition Mount Pritchard held a Christmas Charity Bazaar featuring clothing, shoes and some household items.
The aim of this Bazaar was to give our families, especially those who have come to Australia in the past 5 years from war torn countries, an opportunity to have new clothes and presents for their children this Christmas.
The event was open to the wider community and to people from all backgrounds and walks of life.
Over 130 families benefited from this opportunity.
A big thanks goes to His Eminence for always inspiring us to think of those around us and a big thank you also goes to the Welfare Committee of Saint Mary’s Mount Pritchard and all the volunteers.
