Navigating the confusions of Childcare

Our group meetings have now moved to the first Friday of every month! We were very fortunate to have Lamia Robalino, Centre Director of Shepherd Early Learning Centre (Mays Hill), sift through the confusion surrounding child care enrolments. Lamia took us through the new Child Care Subsidy (CCS), what it means for our families and finances, and how to ensure our enrolments are up to date to avoid missing out on the government financial benefit. She also helped a few of our mums work out what other financial support they can apply for to make child care more affordable, based on their situation.

We then went through some of the common misconceptions surrounding child cares and the benefit of child care for our children’s social, intellectual, and general well-being.
