On Saturday 10 August, 18 people attended the a First Aid training course organised and funded by the Archdiocesan Department of Child Safety.
The course was held at the St. Nicholas, Punchbowl parish hall. Each attendee showed great commitment, with each expected to complete 4 hours of online pre-work and attend a whole Saturday course that was run by The Australian Red Cross.
This was a great exercise to understand how accomplished we are as an Archdiocese and to also understand where First Aid and Safety attention is required most. The Department of Child Safety and the Archdiocese will continue to explore the unique requirements of each parish to ensure the safety of all in attendance, especially the most vulnerable of our Archdiocese.
