Antiochian Orthodox Stewards (AOS) 1st Anniversary Celebration
Under the Patronage, and in the presence of His Eminence Metropolitan Basilios, the Antiochian Orthodox Stewards (AOS) held their 1st Anniversary Celebration on Friday 19th of July 2019 at St Nicholas Antiochian Orthodox Church, Punchbowl.
The mission of the AOS is to preserve, practice, and proclaim the Orthodox Christian faith in order to Glorify God through the Stewardship Program.
With over 100 people in attendance, including Rev. Fr. Romanos Albaba, the Spiritual Director of AOS, Rev. Fr. Dr. John El Karaan, and Fr. Dn. Phillip Saba, the evening was a celebration of the achievements over the last 12 months, as well as an opportunity to provide insight into the plans for the upcoming year.
The celebration also showcased existing Stewards renewing their pledges in the presence of His Eminence Basilios, members of the clergy, family and friends, as well as new Stewards being officially welcomed into the Program and being presented with their Badges by His Eminence Basilios.
A video was presented on the evening highlighting the key achievements and memories over the last 12 months.
Additionally, one Steward from each of the Koala, Emu and Kangaroo groups were presented with awards for their achievements and contributions to date. The award recipients were:
