Christ is Risen! Indeed He is Risen!
On Monday 29th April, St Raphael’s Mission held its annual Easter Party for the homeless in Martin Place. As always, the party consisted of two parts; the dinner service and the gift-giving service.
All individuals lined up patiently to receive their gifts which were a hamper full of winter items as well as a sleeping bag each. The homeless were very appreciative and grateful to all the volunteers and hairdressers who showed them love through their actions, friendliness, enthusiasm, joy, and laughter.
At the conclusion of the night, St Raphael’s Mission drove through the streets of the city from Martin Place to Wynyard and then Central and handed out hampers and a sleeping bag to those sleeping rough.
