On the final pastoral visit to Victoria for 2018, His Eminence Metropolitan Basilios blessed the occasion of the Sunday School Concert presented by 45 students of St Paul’s Church in Dandenong. The theme of the concert was a journey through the Nativity, where 16 hymns were chanted starting from the fast of the Nativity to the Theophany. The concert was performed before a full hall of delighted onlookers and His Eminence showed his gratitude to the children by presenting each of them with an icon of the Nativity of the Lord.

The next day His Eminence along with the clergy and faithful of Victoria visited and celebrated the feast of the God-bearer of Antioch, St Ignatius, at the newly acquired Church in Darraweit Guim. Great Vespers, with the blessing of the five loaves, was served in the presence of 150 people who came to support and experience the intimacy of St Ignatius Church. With clergy and faithful from all of Victoria attending, as mentioned by His Eminence mentioned in his sermon, a place for people to gather and a future centre for education and retreats.
