To further propel our archdiocese’s efforts in ensuring our children’s rights to live and grow up in a safe and child friendly environment, a Child Safety Workshop was facilitated on July 19 by the Office of the Children’s Guardian and attended by His Eminence Metropolitan Basilios, our Clergy from NSW, Church School teachers and other Lay Ministers of the Archdiocese who are involved in the nurturing and caring of our children.
This interactive workshop is one of several initiatives, processes and training that the Archdiocese will run to ensure that the protection and safety of our children is prioritised. The aim is to develop and implement effective and practical child safe policies, and maintain a culture of vigilance around child protection within the church and its communities.
