Message from His Eminence Metropolitan Archbishop Paul
To all of the students of the Theology Course of our Antiochian Archdiocese.
I greet you in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ and welcome you to our next semester.
In the six years of our existence much has been achieved through the dedication and hard work of the faculty and administrator.
The classes are in many ways very important in terms of the future of Orthodoxy and our Archdiocese in this continent. We envisage the classes of Theology becoming one day a recognized college. For that end we need the commitment of our youth and their involvement in the educational life of their Churches.
We thank God for the establishment of the theological classes and we pray that your dedication to the Church will give much fruit and enlightenment.
Unlocking your true potential...So please seize the opportunity!
Unless you are equipped spiritually you cannot discern right from wrong, light from darkness. Jesus said, "I am the light of the world. He who follows Me will not walk in darkness, but have the light of life" (John 8:12).
So in order to have the light of life we need to follow Jesus, and to follow Him we need instruction on how to follow Him. Saint Paul in his letter to the Hebrews instructs us "For though by this time you ought to be teachers, you need someone to teach you again the first principles of the oracles of God" (Heb 5: 12).
One of the initiatives that His Eminence Metropolitan Archbishop Paul has undertaken is to establish a Theological School where our Orthodox Christian faith is taught and the way of salvation is discerned.
