Brief note on mission
The Wellington mission was formally started in 2000 following the visit by His Eminence, Metropolitan Paul, the Archbishop of Australia and New Zealand, though Fr Jack Witbrock had been visiting Wellington approximately monthly since April 1999.
Byzantine Rite Services are normally held twice a month on the first and third Sundays of the month. The Byzantine rite liturgy is usually the liturgy of Saint John Chrysostom, but in Lent that of Saint Basil.
Western Rite (mass of Saint Gregory the Great) services are normally held on the second and fourth Sundays of the month.
